Andreea Popa
Cheese education is how I connect different worlds: the people who make cheese, the people who sell and serve it, and the people who love it.
Over the years, I have come to believe that cheese can bring people and cultures together when it is understood as more than flavour alone. Behind every cheese is a story of craft, place, tradition, and identity.
CREDENTIALS
Recognised internationally for cheese education and judging
I am an international cheese educator and juror, trained in the United Kingdom, where I became a Fellow and Training Partner of the Academy of Cheese. This recognition is awarded to specialists who actively contribute to the development of cheese education.
I judge at some of the world’s leading cheese competitions, including the World Cheese Awards, the International Cheese & Dairy Awards, the Concours International de Lyon, the Frankfurt Trophy, and major UK competitions such as the British & Irish Cheese Awards.

International perspective
Bringing international standards of cheese education to Romania
My professional experience has been shaped in the United Kingdom, in both educational and competitive settings where artisan cheeses are evaluated, celebrated, and promoted to the highest standards. Through my work, I bring these international standards of cheese education, evaluation, and presentation to Romania.
